One of the treasures of Pittsburgh is the Duquesne Incline. This museum-in-motion has been scaling the side of Mount Washington since 1877. In the early years, the incline cars transported people from their homes on Mount Washington to their jobs below. They now carry people 400 feet up the side of Mount Washington to the observation decks that provide a beautiful view of the Pittsburgh skyline, ranked as one of America’s most beautiful sights.
