Horne’s Tree Ornament

Joseph Horne’s Department Store in downtown Pittsburgh was well known for its Christmas tree lighting ceremony each year as well as their beautifully decorated windows. Although their store has closed, the iconic Horne’s Christmas tree still lives on, adorning the side of the building on the corner of Penn Avenue and Stanwix Street. Each year for the Pittsburgh Light Up Night celebration, the tree shines brightly, attracting the attention of all who pass by.
