Pittsburgh is home to some of the best facilities for cheering its hockey, baseball and football teams. Going to a game can be exciting but you don’t really know these sites until you’ve taken one of their official tours. Each of these magnificent sites offers unique behind-the-scene tours that will acquaint you more intimately with that facility. As well as give you a greater appreciation of what extraordinary sporting venues we are fortunate to have in this city.
PPG Paints Arena
The Consol Energy Center opened in August 2010 and was renamed PPG Paints Arena in October of 2016. It is known as the home of the The Pittsburgh Penguins. PPG Paints Arena also plays host to numerous entertainment events such as concerts and shows.
The walking tours are approximately 90 minutes, guests should wear comfortable shoes. The tour is also ADA accessible and those wishing to reserve a complimentary wheelchair should call ahead.
Heinz Field
Tours of Heinz Field are subject to change so be sure to check their calendar first. Tour don’t occur on weekends, holidays or during stadium events. The tour is 30 minutes in length and takes you behind the scenes. Since it is a walking tour, comfortable shoes are recommended. The tour is ADA accessible as well.

Pittsburgh’s PNC Park was once ranked #1 amongst MLB ballparks from Ballpark Digest. Their tours let you get up close and personal with major league baseball’s most magnificent park. It is ranked among the top places to see in the Pittsburgh area.
